Covid-19 Government restrictions have forced us to adapt the way we work to gain attention for brands, and capturing media worthy imagery has become increasingly challenging. With that in mind, we have selected three of our favourite photography campaigns that have been shot during lockdown.
1. #SupportTheDoctors by Mcann - a simple series of portrait pictures capturing Doctors in PPE with the outline of famous superheroes on their faces. Such a simple idea that would have been easy to capture under current lockdown ruling and tells a thought provoking story.
2. Digital Arts Online reported that stock imagery companies, iStock & Getty are seeking images that fall under the theme of working from home and lockdown life, along with more natural images with less lighting that are representative of everyday life. One of our favourite examples of this came from the Getty Museum who asked their fans to recreate some of their most famous artwork from home - it turns out we are all photographers!
3. We’ve spotted lots of interesting and entertaining professional and amateur photography projects during lockdown, all gaining media traction. One of our highlights came from photographer Olivia Harris who captured the extreme lengths that Londoners were prepared to go to in order to sunbathe, as featured in the Guardian.
